I just joined IMDb just to rate this movie after seeing such negative reviews on here. It's a classic tale of a family with issues just like the rest of us! Here's the deal: if you enjoyed The Family Stone or Love Actually, this is definitely the movie for you! It was the perfect matinée to put us in the holiday and family spirit after some lunch and shopping. As a bonus, it'll be even better to watch over and over again once it comes to DVD! Definitely an awesome job with casting and the out - takes at the end were fun to watch. I already love Diane Keaton and John Goodman, but this made an Alan Arkin fan out of me! I give it an 8.5! P.S. If you're a pet lover, you are in for a treat as well!
